Rivka Killmer: I'm not sure if this is the e-ink that you're referring to, dear lady, but this one appears to be "specific proprietary type of electronic paper manufactured by E Ink Corporation".
May Stands: that is a very good question. e-ink has a programmable effect so suggests it is software driven, and it requires a suitably adapted paper to produce this effect (other hardware) but this very good article here http://electronics.howstuffworks.com/gadgets/high-... suggests it may actually be hardware although one is dependant on the other. In my humble opinion I would have to say it was hardware. maybe "we" need to invent a new word, haftware or perhaps sordware!
