Catheryn Barringer: hi, what you need to do is to download internet explorer 10 for windows 8 then you will find no problem but let's do this also before downloading. on your homepage you should have file, edit, view, favorites, tools and help under tools scroll down to internet options and hit the connect tab. there setup a network connection if you see you cannot setup hit below it setup one anyway. you will have it in the box now you will see settings click and make sure that it is connected. also under lan settings these are important to get connected. now if you cannot see internet options than right click and hit menu they will appear. good luck I hope I was helpful to you...Show more
Gregory Dilg: The error you mention is usually associated with a failure in the network path between computers sharing files on the same router but not so much with a single PC being able to get on line.Ordinarily a router that has been set to default and a PC that has been set u! p to auto detect the network is all that is needed to get on line Is this a wireless connection?Have you reset the router?Are you using auto detect IP address?A Factory reset of a router can work wonders but if using wireless, re-enter the security key, etc...Show more
