Emile Midgley: I have suffered from this problem earlier(folder.htt & desktop.ini). Let me tell you the solution that I did.1. I have searched for the files(that are repeating) and identified the folder list.2. In this folder usually you would be having HTML files, which contains a JavaScript.3. This Javascript does the job of replicating set of files.4. This Javascript also executes and affects other HTMLs in the same folder or subfolders.So solution is1. Search and delete all folder.htt and desktop.ini (dont worry about the files in c:windows, it would automatically recreated by windows)2. Delete all "S! et of files" that would be replicating3. Install Avast anti-virus software and run full scan, which repairs the infected HTMLs. It removes the Javascript so that further replication does not happen.Also disabling the Javascript in the Browser will prevent the execution of that Virus script.
