Timmy Bustard: for the board, go to Lowes or Home Depot and ask for 1/8" MDF. (medium density fiberboard) It's excellent for board games. For the cards, use unlined Index Cards. For the players, use little wooden drawer pulls painted different colors. and for the weapons, well use your imagination... string, little pipe cleaners, doll house parts, etc.
Maryland Gareau: Cluedo (Clue in the US) is one of the easier games to re-create as its components are relatively basic in their natures other than the weapons. For the board try posterboard or better yet, print out and glue the board to an ubused board from some other game. These can be found relatively cheap and there is at least one site that sells blanp board game boards. For the pawns, simple playing pawns can be used, or if you want to get fancy you can use miniatures. One source of appropriate figures is FFGs remake of Arkham Horror for which they are now selling individual pre-painted character pieces in singles! or in groups. Failing that, Ral Partha's Call of Cthulhu investigator miniatures would work. For the cards. One suggestion is to again print the cards out and glue them to standard playing cards. Another alternative is the Print-on-Demand company called Artscow who seem to specialize in cards. For the weapons. That one is alot more tricky. If you have any modelling skill you can make them from hardened clay or sculpty-like materials. You can also ask at the following for ideashttp://www.boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/1294/clue...Show more
