EG, if you pay out $10,000 in wages, you pay X, as wages increase, premiums increase. You are audited yearly. The hardest part of opening a landscaping (or any) business is getting customers. Advertising is a major cost. The second hardest part is learning to bid. Most folks try to underbid and end up going broke because they did not factor in all the unseen costs, like car/truck insurance, computer costs, office costs, telephone costs etc. They end up working for wages and small wages at best.
