Raymundo Kyser: Great! So many special ed kids and adults need visuals and film is the best way to bring abstract concepts alive. I have often thought of a film project where kids act out all kinds of behaviors to show right from wrong or how to do laundry or how to get along with others. I have seen training films for teaching a new skill, or how to follow directions. Films of the kids in class and filmed stories the kids read or act out. Films to train parents or assistants. Film edited and down loaded onto kids personal websites. Film journals around school and the morning announcements. It's endless! Wish you worked near me- I'd keep you busy! smile....Show more
Booker Moros: Well its definitely different but I see nothing wrong with it. I am having trouble figuring out how to combine the two but I am sure that by the time you finish your degrees you will have some ideas about what to do. I say go for it. I do keep thinking about how you could make society mo! re aware of special education, the fight that a lot of parents have to get a good education for their students, how hard it is to cope with an autistic child and their education. On the other hand, I guess I do see some ways of combining the two. Also, I was thinking how great it would be to use film making when teaching students with special needs. Anyway, Good Luck and I see a promising future for you!...Show more
