Edwina Fu: Considering that Poetry is not one set thing. It's whatever emotion you decide to pour onto a sheet of paper when you catch that inspiration to do so. Yes I consider music lyrics poetry.You may also want to consider that rap is not really a genre of music but hip hop is. Rap is to Sing as Hip Hop is to R&B. Rapping is a way to deliver lyrics just like singing, poetry, etc.Truly believe that when MOST artist make music they see it as art. Please look into hip hop artist that most eloquently waxed poetic.
